Ulmer Cafe in New Ulm

Exactly what you'd want from a small local diner, great food, low prices, try the Landjaeger and German Potato salad for a legit New Ulm experience.

Rude... I had just put on some hand lotion. The waitress had just walked away and LOUDLY commented about STRONG perfume! Also slow service. How long does it take to fry an egg and make some toast!!!

Not to often i walk out a cafe full. The breakfast was awesome. Staff was vary friendly!

Breakfast couldn't have been better! Huge omelets that tasted like heaven, nice friendly waitress..we will definitely be back!!!

Went for lunch. Waitress was great. Food was even better. Had the Reuben and it had a full slab of beef instead of thin slices! Several other menu items looked enticing too! Will be back. Cash Only but not a problem since it is family affordable. Had that stereotypical small town cafe feel.

A good breakfast experience, even with the family. The place came highly recommended by longtime locals. My late father apparently enjoyed the joint as well. I would recommend it. The food was excellent.

This is everything a small town cafe should be. Fantastically prepared breakfast with perfect "G3" potatoes. An ambience even Norm Rockwell would admire. Even the overheard gossip was impossible to find anywhere else. PERFECT!

Charming hometown cafe in old downtown area. Windows large enough to enjoy the street and passerbys. Food was hot and portions normal.

Went there for breakfast. Awesome Home cooked food.

Served by the owner himself. Food was homey and perfectly prepared.

Excellent food great family service

Waitress very friendly. Clean, neat, and well kept. I have never had a Ruben sandwich that had a slab of corned beef on it and not thin sliced, and no thousand island dressing with it, I had to ask for it. The catsup tasted funny, so I couldn't eat my fries. Everything was hot and service was good!! Have cash because they don't take credit cards there is an atm.

The perfect small town cafe. Friendly people. Local character. And as a bonus, Gluten free bread, if you ask....Found it by accident,the first day. went back on purpose the second day.

Delicious, albeit greasy food (bacon was a little undercooked for my taste). Friendly waitstaff and nice diner atmosphere. Does not accept cards--CASH ONLY.

It was fun to watch, she lives,across from a bird sanctuary, storks, etc. Barb lives,iOn the Gulf side of the,ocean.
